Blogging Challenge Twenty Facts About Me.

Well here we are February 4, 2015. Week 1 of our blogging challenge. This is the part where I would usually sit at my computer staring aimlessly at a blank screen. Now I have a topic and a headline to work with. Are you ready? Let’s get started!

Twenty Facts! Nothing But The Facts!

  1. I was born May 1968 in San Diego California.
  2. I was raised in Oxnard California.
  3. I have two boys and they are 14 ½ years apart.
  4. My oldest son is 26 years old and in the United States Army.
  5. I am a new grandmother, my grandson is 8 months old.
  6. I was a single mother for 13 years. They were the most difficult years of my life, but they are the years that made me the person I am today.
  7. I own and run my own Virtual Assistant business. As a business owner I specialize in Social Media Marketing, Email Marketing and Blogging. Ironically I find it fun, exciting and fun to blog for my clients, but it is one of the most difficult things to do for my own business.
  8. I have a an addiction to big designer purses.
  9. I love the outdoors, camping, hiking, biking, and swimming.
  10. Spring and Summer are my favorite seasons, so I can enjoy my outdoor activities.
  11. I live in a town that is affectionately called by the city officials “Awesome Town”. A title that I have yet to understand. While it is a very nice place to live with decent public schools, I’m sure somewhere in America there is a real “Awesome Town”. One that carries more historical significance other than a movie and tv backdrop.
  12. I am married to a wonderful man, who’s profession is a Journeyman Lineman for subcontractors contracted with Southern California Edison and other city electrical utilities. I am very proud to be his wife.
  13. It took me 10 years to change my last name on my drivers license and social security card, for no particular reason.
  14. In 31 years I have never had to retake a behind the wheel drivers test.
  15. I was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Cooking has been a huge challenge. Reading every label has been one of the hardest habits to pick up. It is very hard to find anything to eat that doesn’t already have added sugar, alcohol sugar or a carbohydrate that doesn’t turn into a cup full of sugar once processed.
  16. My favorite holiday is 4th of July. I love fireworks. They are 15 to 20 minuets of pure beauty and peace.
  17. I am going to take a bookkeeping certificate college course in the fall of 2015. I figure it will be one more added benefit I can give my clients, as well as increase my client market.
  18. I am in the process of overhauling my work and personal personal attitude. I started a personal challenge to meditate and recognize negativity and replace it with positivity daily. When it happens I will keep you posted. It’s very much a work in progress.
  19. My biggest dream is to travel the United States in a Motorhome with my husband. It is what I work for everyday so that when my husband and I retire we can take the first two to three years to just travel.
  20. I struggle with my weight. I have been on more diets then I can count. My hope is once my work and personal attitude is overhauled I will then work on my weight and fitness. I might even start a weight loss and fitness blog. Watch for the announcement!

Well there are twenty facts about me. Wow! This has proven to be one of the hardest blogs I have written. My expectation was that once I had a topic that it was going to be easy and the facts would flow through my fingers. I really had to think hard about twenty facts about myself, and to coincide with my personal challenge to be positive was even more difficult.

I am extremely excited to read your comments and seeing your links so I can read twenty facts about you.

Week 2 topic of our blogging challenge is: Who Inspires You and Why? I’m already stressing about this topic. Good luck Bloggers!
